Bronica Waist Level Finder Question?
Now I've just got my Bronica SQ-A camera, first time ive ever had a medium format camera, so bare with me.
When I attatch the WLF, with the lens also attatched, nothing comes up on the WLF "screen". How can I get something to come up? There is no film in the camera and it still happens with the film back attached.

Solved it.
The WLF is just a spring loaded pop up hood. It's only real function is to cause a shadow box so you can look down on the cameras view screen. If there is no image on the view screen you may have problems.

I owned a Bronica S2A years ago and it was a clunker of a beast. The newer SQ is a take off, on looks anyhow, of a Hasselblad 500 series. Now, with that in mind, they may have the system tied into the camera being cocked and the mirror down in order to see through it again for the next shot. Try cocking the camera...?!
